Getting Started: Communication, Booking, and Policies

  • How to Start Services

Getting started is easy and ensures we can provide the safest, most personalized care for your pet.

    1. Schedule a Meet & Greet

This is a 30-minute visit held at your place or ours (depending on the primary services needed).

Meet your petsitter, ask questions, and review your pet's care routines.

If At Our Place: You'll see where your pet will stay and we'll identify any special needs (like a ramp over stairs).

If At Your Place: We'll review your pet's routines, note the location of supplies, and handle key/access information.

    2. Set Up Your Profile on Time To Pet

Sign Contracts: Service Agreement, Veterinary Release, and Key Handling Agreement (for all services).

Complete Profiles: Fill out your information and create detailed profiles for each pet.

Upload Vaccine Records: DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella (required for Our Place services).

    3. Book Your Services!

  • Communication & Client Portal

We use the Time To Pet client portal and app to keep you connected with your pet and our care team.

  • Policies and Protection

    Booking Requirements & Payment

Vaccination Records for DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella (for daycare/boarding) must be uploaded and up-to-date before booking.

Payment: We accept Credit Card, Debit Card, ACH Transfer, CashApp, Venmo, Cash, or Check.

Services are invoiced weekly, and payment is due the day after the last visit on the invoice.

A $15 daily fee applies to holiday services.

Cancellations less than 24-hours in advance are charged at 50% of the service charge.

    Emergency Protocols

Medical Issues: We will contact you immediately with updates and recommendations. If the issue is clearly an emergency, we will take immediate action for your pet's safety, even if we cannot reach you first. The pet owner is financially responsible for all medical care.

Natural Disasters & Environmental Emergencies: When your pets are with us, they’re family. We take the same steps to ensure their safety as we do for our own dogs. If your pets are at your home while you are away, we will do what is reasonably possible to help ensure their safety given the context of the situation.

    Protection

The Love of Dogs is licensed, bonded, and insured. You are protected should anything happen to your home or pet over the course of our services as a result of employee actions.
